Imprinted fractional note, with vignette of South Carolina State Seal, the palmetto tree, at the center. The Bank of the State of South Carolina 10, 10, Will Pay Bearer On Demand "In Current Funds." Ten Cents over print in blue. Feb. 1, 1863. Signed in ink at the bottom. Ten, Issued under Act Feb., 1863, is printed in red on the reverse. There is a small area of paper loss at the first letter of the signature which was caused by ink burn. Overall a very nice war date example of a Southern States bank note.
