Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II

(1925-2011) Born in Stamford, Conn., Robustelli served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, onboard the USS William C. Cole in the Pacific theater. A star defensive end, he played 14 seasons in the NFL, and was a six time All-Pro. He was a member of 2 NFL championship teams, the 1951 Los Angeles Rams, and the 1956 New York Giants. His outstanding defensive skills (scoring 22 defensive touchdowns) earned him membership into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1971. He is also a member of the New York Giants Ring of Honor.
