Superb standing view in full dress uniform with rank of major general, wearing epaulets, cape, sash, gloves, ornate belt, and holding his sword, and 1832 pattern chapeau with eagle, scroll, ring of stars, and feathers. Back mark: E. & H.T. Anthony, New York, made from a photographic negative in Brady's National Portrait Gallery. Bottom of the mount is trimmed. Sharp image. Great content.
